Daniel Whyte

Newsroom Strategy Consultant

Daniel is a project manager, international affairs analyst and media strategist with experience working at the intersection of media and tech. Most recently, he was a Project Coordinator at The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development Africa, where he coordinated research, capacity building, partnerships and grant management for the climate change project of the organisation. As part of the organisation’s expansion into West Africa, he was responsible for launching and executing a widely successful media fellowship programme for journalists in five Anglophone West African countries, namely Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia.

In 2019, he was recognised by the British Council as one of the top hundred young media professionals in the world. He is a media fellow of Climate Tracker (Australia), One Earth (USA) and African Liberty (USA).
Daniel holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in African Studies from the University of Cambridge with distinction.
