Laura Oliver is a journalist with a background in audience development and social media strategy. In her roles as head of social and communities for the Guardian and editor of Journalism.co.uk, she has launched and managed social media channels and policy, built online communities, managed multidisciplinary teams and run editorial desks and projects. She enjoys finding new ways to tell stories and involving audiences in journalism. As a freelance journalist and consultant, she’s worked with clients including Conde Nast, the Financial Times, BBC News and the World Economic Forum. She’s overhauled social media accounts and skills, devised editorial development projects and delivered audience growth initiatives, while also editing and reporting for online and print publications.
