Sebastián Auyanet is an Uruguayan media strategist and consultant with two decades of experience spanning legacy newsroom reporting, senior editing and audience-centric bridge roles at platform-based organizations like NowThis, where he scaled Spanish content for U.S. Latino audiences and developed impact tracking methodologies alongside Editorial, Brand and Sales departments.

He’s partnered with over 40 digital outlets across the Americas and Europe to design data-driven engagement strategies, diversify revenue and membership streams, and bolster their organizational resilience. Recently, he took project management roles at community-focused AI projects as well.

A dedicated advocate of journalism that finds ways to meet people's needs since 2013, he earned an MA in Engagement Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism (2017) and holds a Certification in News Product Management (2024).

Fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese, Sebastián spends his free time playing in an amateur football league and trying to convince his son that rock music is cool.
